The first attack happened at 3 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, authorities said.
A woman was pulled up at a stop light on the 1600 block of South 55th Street when the attacker walked up to her car, displayed a gun, and demanded money, investigators said.
She gave him $20 before he made her unlock the car and got inside, according to police. Authorities said he made the victim drive to 49th and St. Bernard streets where he sexually assaulted her.
He left the woman's car on foot after forcing her to drive to an ATM and withdraw more money, they said.
The suspect was said to be a black male with a thin build in his mid-20s wearing dark gray sweatpants, a gray hoodie, and a blue mask.
The second attack happened around 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, police continued.
A woman was approached by an armed man while she was walking near the 5100 block of Springfield Avenue near the intersection with South Paxon Street, according to the police.
He demanded money, then forced her into an alley and sexually assaulted her, before fleeing the area on foot, police explained.
He was also described again as a black male with a thin build wearing dark pants, a blue hoodie, a blue mask, and a red Phillies hat.
